About Pool.bz

Pool.bz puts two things in one place: an 8-ball rack you play with a second person on the same device, and a desk for drawing positions when you teach or practice.

Play and model

The game uses its own house rules and an approximate two-dimensional simulation. Check the rules on the game page before breaking. It is not a tournament referee or a replica of any particular physical table.

Save a position

The diagram desk builds a new layout from balls and lines. Its share link stores that layout in the part of the URL after the #, so nothing is saved on a server. It also exports a drawing as SVG. Anyone with a shared link can see the diagram; there are no accounts.

Older links

A link to an earlier diagram tool is not a saved game in the current format. The known old addresses explain what happened to the layout and offer a blank diagram instead. This edition uses original code and artwork.

We count visits and tool use with Google Analytics, which uses cookies to do so. What you type or choose in the tools is never sent.
