    Here is my two cents on this. Why would you be using English at all? In most cases, and certainly as a beginner, even if you are playing 10 hours a week, I'd recommend staying on the vertical axis of the cue ball for all your shots. There aren't too many cases where you really need spin, and you will pocket a lot more balls by staying on the vertical axis.

    Thanks for your reply, I will stick to the basics shots and use the vertical axis for my shots.
