Pool & Billiards Online FAQ

-in order to gain access to the advanced features, users are encouraged to register.

• Registration to Pool.bz is free.
• We urge people to use their real name as the user name. Being respectful is to be respectable.
• Entering your email address will not leave you open to 'spam', as you can choose to hide your email address. Messages sent to you via email do not reveal your address to the sender in any case.
• Once you have completed the registration form, the system will send you an activation email. Once you reply to this email you ca n start your membership.

Member can access the User Control panel from a few different spots of website:

1, Private Messages link underneath the user login will link directly to the Inbox of User CP

2, Quick Links in the top navigation menubar contains links to various areas of User CP

3, User CP in the bottom navigation menubar leads to the main area of User CP

On the left of User Control Panel, there is a sidebar of options for a user to change. The followings are some common functions and settings from the list:
(Member may click on the title to access each section in a new window)

Edit Signature and Signature Picture- To have a personal signature appear at the end of all posts.

Edit Email & Password - To set a new password or contact email.

Edit Profile- To add personal background information.

Edit Options- To set misc options such as privacy, messaging, notification, thread display, day&time.

Edit Avatar- To choose a small graphic that are displayed under your username in a post. We have collected over 100 avatar icons.

List Messages - To view personal messages from other members.

Send New Message - To send personal messages to other members.

List Subscription- To track own list of subscribed topics

Group Membership- To enroll and be identified as a member of a special usergroup (Instructor, Advanced Player, Author)

 

-A member will gain additional privileges as his/her member status rises, due to the length of membership and reputation level.

    • has made more than 50 posts plus 5 CueTable layout

    • may post in all areas directly (without approval of moderator) including the Shot Database
    • will have a medium sized personal message box
    • can send personal messages and emails to other members
• Instructor, Advanced Player, Author (Special Usergroup which Needs to Be Applied)
  • requirement
    • well recognized in the sport or online billiard community
    • has posted detailed background information such as certification, association reference, playing records or accomplishments in the bio section of user profile.
  • privilege
    • may post in all areas directly including the Shot Database
    • will have a large personal message box can send personal message and emails to other members
    • may request to open own teaching classroom in the Library
• Librarian (Special Usergroup which Needs to Be Applied)
  • requirement
    • well recognized around the Library community with many reputation points
    • invited by the administrator.
  • privilege
    • may moderate posts accordingly to the library rules.
    • may move and organize posts to different areas
